Beyond the Divide: A Century of Canadian Mosque Design and Gender Allocations

We are pleased to announce the panel will be moderated by Zarqa Nawaz, creator of Little Mosque on the Prairie and author of Laughing All the Way to the Mosque.
Our panel speakers are:
- Dr. Tammy Gaber, PhD: Assistant Professor at Laurentian University- School of Architecture and creator of the project “Beyond the Divide”
- Dr. Nevin Reda: Assistant Professor of Muslim Studies, Emmanuel College and the author of The Al-Baqara
- Shahla Khan Salter: Activist, feminist, lawyer, blogger, Imam, and director/ co-founder of Universalist Muslims
There will also be Exhibits by Tammy Gaber – Photographic Exhibit of a Century of Canadian Mosques and Art Exhibit of Gendered Spaces in Canadian Mosques.
