22 Community Workshops Across Canada

This Spring and Summer, CCMW chapters and community partners successfully organized 22 community workshops across Canada, which focused on violence against women and girls. The workshops were facilitated by CCMW trained women and engaged local community members, service providers, educators, law enforcement personnel, legal professionals and religious leaders to address domestic violence, forced marriage, femicide and female genital cutting/mutilation (FGC/FGM). Over 600 (+) individuals participated in the workshops which are part of CCMW’s project Violence Against Women: Health and Justice for Canadian Muslim Women
