50:30 Challenge

CCMW is taking part in the 50:30 challenge through our collaboration with the Women’s Economic Council (WEC). WEC is an ecosystem partner with the Government of Canada’s 50 – 30 Challenge initiative funded by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED).

By highlighting the benefits of providing all individuals with a seat at the table, the 50–30 Challenge is a government initiative that strives to promote economic prosperity, diversity, and equity from coast to coast.

As a part of the 50:30 challenge, an online resource called the

What works Toolkit’ is available. The toolkit aims to provide Canadian organizations with the means to implement or improve their diversity and equity practices. It does so by providing tangible measures to assist organizations in establishing strategies and policies pertaining to employee and board recruitment, mentoring, advancement, and retention. In addition to anti-racism and anti-harassment resources, as well as highlighting Canadian organizations that have effectively incorporated diversity and inclusion in their work.
