Join us on January 25th at 7pm EST, as we launch our first virtual episode of the "In Conversation" series, part of CCMW's #DeleteDigitalHate Project, funded by the Government of Canada.
This thought-provoking conversation with Dr. Barbara Perry, cyberhate expert and UNESCO Chair in Hate Studies, delves into the pervasive impacts of online and digital hate, exploring its profound impact on our rapidly evolving world.
Against the backdrop of our current geo-political climate, this candid conversation will help shed light on how the digital landscape fuels hatred and extremism, with a particular focus on the alarming rise of gendered Islamophobia and the surge in online extremism driven by right-wing groups and ideologies.
In an era where the online sphere knows no borders, Dr. Perry will explore how these digital platforms are shaping narratives, fuelling intolerance, and influencing real-world events.
Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a crucial dialogue that examines the changing dynamics of our world, seeking ways to combat the digital manifestations of hatred that threaten the fabric of our global society.
