Strengthening Capacity Project
This project aims to strengthen the capacity of CCMW’s the national board and chapters to achieve equality for Muslim women and girls in all spheres of their lives.
It will involve key activities towards long-term sustainability by developing capacity for fundraising, board governance, responsiveness, human resources planning, collaboration and networking and use of social media. It will undertake gender-based analysis to cover intersectionalities of Canadian Muslim women’s demographic and socioeconomic realities and will also provide skills training for its members in advocacy and media relations. The duration of the project is four years.
The project will enable and mobilize the national board and all chapters across Canada to support the implementation of CCMW’s 2017–2022 Strategic Plan by facilitating local planning and providing resources, support and guidance, which will allow for long-term operational capacity and sustainability.
