About our Waterloo–Wellington chapter
A few like-minded women got together and started the Waterloo-Wellington Chapter in 2008. The chapter encompasses four cities: Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Guelph. As women helping women, we were inspired by the work being done by the CCMW National Board. Explore the ways we participate in community.

We participate in community outreach in a variety of ways: we run the Muslim Seniors Circle (monthly meetings with guest speakers), we worked on Jim Estill’s project to support the arrival and integration of refugees in Canada (Guelph, ON), we participate in the Bridging Group (a multifaith organization that meets regularly during the year), we work on projects at local mosques to improve the status of women, we support Muslim women in distress in a number of ways, we participate in the UN International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, we promote CCMW at the yearly Afro Festival (Waterloo Park, ON) and we participate in International Women’s Day in partnership with CFUW (Guelph, ON), and have fun while we do it!
