Addressing systemic barriers to supports and services for Muslim women and girls facing GBV

The Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) has launched its new gender-based violence project titled: Addressing barriers for Muslim women and girls facing GBV. This project will develop a systemic change strategy and tools to address barriers Muslim women face in dealing with GBV. This project will also provide services coordination for Muslim women facing GBV.

We recognize that it can be challenging for Muslim women facing gender-based violence to access services and supports that are cultually sensistive and that affirm their identities and experiences.

CCMW connects Muslim women facing gender-based violence with service providers, counsellors and therapists, and lawyers and legal services.

If you would like support, please fill out our intake form. Your information will remain confidential and will be shared only with authorized individuals within the Canadian Council of Muslim Women.
