About our ottawa chapter
The Ottawa chapter was started by Sayeda Bhatti. She moved to Ottawa from Edmonton where she had been a member.
She soon put out a call for Muslim Women in Ottawa to join CCMW, and in April 1989, the inaugural gathering was held and hosted by Sayeda and the original founding members Lila Fahlman, Talat Muinudin, among others. And the Ottawa Chapter was born.
