Human Rights Day is observed by the international community every year on 10 December. It commemorates the day in 1948 the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
Today and every day, we stand in solidarity with and pledge our support for campaigners, activists and organizations around the world advocating and fighting for human rights, especially those of women, girls and Muslim communities. We are committed to supporting them and amplifying their voices.
CCMW joins the global community in observing this year’s Human Rights Day theme, EQUALITY - Reducing inequalities, advancing human rights. The theme relates to 'Equality' and Article 1 of the UDHR – “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.”
