Gender-based violence: strengthening supports and services for Muslim women and girls

While gender-based violence exists in every culture and community, this webinar will focus on the unique experiences and needs of Muslim women and girls. How can community workers ensure programs and services are culturally safe? How are we empowering Muslim women to stay safe and informed when seeking support from our organizations?

The presenters will address these questions and many more. They will also provide information to help identify gaps in services that often act as barriers to Muslim women and girls. Practical tools and strategies to help develop more relevant and culturally appropriate programs will be shared with participants.

In partnership with CLEO (Community Legal Education Ontario / Education juridique communautaire Ontario).

*This webinar is geared to community workers, not the general public.*
