Maryum Ahmed is an active member of CCMW Durham Region. She is content designed and a facilitator for adult education courses and workshops. She is a learning specialist for a not-for-profit financial services company and is a small business owner catering to sweet and savoury items @MadebyMaryum
Saima Hussain was the past present of CCMW Toronto and won the Lila Fuhlman scholarship. She is the author of two books: The Arab World Thought of It: Inventions, Innovations and Amazing Facts (Annick Press, 2013) and The Muslimah Who Fell to Earth: Personal Stories by Canadian Muslim Women (Mawenzi House, 2016). Saima recently returned to university for a Masters in Library and Information Science (MLIS), she now works as a librarian at the Toronto Public Library.
Kubra Mir is the President of CCMW Durham, a Board member for Islamic History month, and organizes group blood donations. She was given the Platinum Jubilee recently for her voluntary work by her local MP.
