An Islamic Heritage Month Celebration
CCMW Durham region's has put together an online event to celebrate the Proclamation of Islamic History month in the city of Pickering, Ontario this October. At the ceremony were Councilperson Shaheen Butt, Councilperson Dave Pickles, Ruby, Muqaddas and President of CCMW Durham Region, Kubra.
Thank you to Mayor Ryan, Pickering Council, Councillor Shaheen Butt, Councillor Dave Pickles, MP Jennifer O'Connell of Pickering, President of Pickering Islamic Centre, Mohammed Rahim, MP Mark Holland of Ajax, Regional Council person Sterling Lee, President of Friends Indeed, Vaqar Raees, Durham youth Alaina for participating in the video. Special thanks to Safia and Mehreen for organizing the Ajax public library display and Sabira for organizing the Pickering Public Library display.
