CCMW Durham Family Picnic

We held our First family picnic with members bringing their spouses, children, and parents to an outdoor event at Greenwood Conservation area in Ajax. Over 70 attended this fun gathering and we had an amazing potluck with a variety of food items. We raised over $500 for Feed the Need in Durham. Feed the Need Durham addresses food insecurity by collecting and distributing food to those who face food insecurity in Durham Region. This allows Feed the Need in Durham to distribute 1.44 million pounds of food each year, equivalent to 1.2 million meals.

Thank you to organizers Sabira, Mumtaz, Natalia, Zaynab, Maryum, and Kubra for setting up and cleaning up. Thanks to Ruby for providing games and activities for children. Yasmeen looked after games for the adults. and Kasmalah made some wonderful loot bags for the children. Musheer Uncle did a lovely prayer for our picnic. Thank you to Irfan who took some incredible photographs of the fun event. We are already planning our next family picnic!
