Nayaelah Siddiqui: 2019

Nayaelah recently returned home to Ottawa from her study abroad in the Netherlands, where she obtained a minor in Cross-Cultural Business Practices. She currently works at Global Affairs Canada while completing her BCom. specializing in International Management at the University of Ottawa. An active leader in the community, Nayaelah is passionate about youth empowerment, global affairs, gender equality, and human rights. For this, she has established an organization called Empower’em which works on empowering women through safe spaces, leadership development and dialogue. Nayaelah draws from her own lived experience and knowledge in recognizing the barriers faced by marginalized communities and is determined to build solutions that create a Canada that is safe and inclusive for all and that which promotes equal opportunities.
