TESTIMONIAL

Nashwa is an unapologetically feminist Muslim woman. Over the last several years, her achievements
have resulted in a following where people look to her as a reputable Muslim feminist. This includes the
people who listen to her podcasts, follow her popular social media, and read her writing. Canadian
society often imposes its own ideas of who and what Muslim women are, but Nashwa continually
challenges these ideas in her work. Through her podcast Habibti Please and her former podcast
Muslim Rumspringa, Nashwa discusses current political and social issues through a Muslim feminist
lens, something that is sorely missing from mainstream media.
