Tai Salih - Speaker
Tai Salih, E-RYT® 500, YACEP®, a former refugee, is the visionary Founder of the Red Ma'at Collective. Committed to empowering under-served and marginalized communities, she leads a non-profit organization providing trauma-informed yoga for Black, Indigenous, and racialized women and youth. As the founder of the Red Ma’at Healing Center, Tai advocates for mental health with a decolonized and anti-oppressive counselling approach, specializing in trauma, racial trauma, and gender violence. Progressing towards a psychotherapy designation, she also serves as a Red Cross Canada reservist, is a yoga instructor, a writer, and an activist for social change.
Sagal Ali
Sagal Ali, Somali Canadian, born and raised in Toronto. I make social commentary on all kinds of things, life stories, racism, capitalism, cats, etc. I also make silly observations. I’m chronically online and socially awkward but loveable. I’ve been on shows like Abbas and friends, Nubian Night at YukYuks. I’m a Comedy bar regular, and Comedy lab regular. Producer and host of the Muslim girls show, and The Mostly black lady showcase. I am a past winner of the black sheep comedy contest (April 2023). As well second place winner for the cycle three folk’n comedy contest (Oct,2023), and 2nd place winner for comedy brawl (Nov,2023).
Faiza
Electrifying on stage and sometimes shocking, Faiza’s comedy takes a look at the bright side-then stares directly into the sun! Born, raised and based in Toronto, Faiza has done shows all over the city, including shows co-produced by JFLToronto and other fantastic local comics in the scene! She’s proud to become one!
