Palestinian Solidarity Protest — Canadian Council of Muslim Women

Palestinian solidarity protests have been held around the world and within many cities in Canada. Members of the CCMW Durham region joined the protest march in Pickering last weekend to bring awareness to the devastation and a growing number of Palestinians killed in Israel. Over 500 people attended this peaceful protest with participants wearing masks and social distancing practiced.

A powerful and motivational speech was delivered by Durham region member and Legal coordinator, Sabrine Azraq. She is the founder of Buycott Palestine an organization that works with Palestinian farmers to bring Medjool dates for sale in Canada.https://www.buycottpalestine.com/

This is a good opportunity for our younger generation to be aware that they can advocate for change and to be thankful that we live in Canada, a country that allows people to have a difference of opinion.
