CCMW Durham MPS Community Support

CCMW Durham Region heard about a family in Oshawa with twins: Aslam and Farheen, inflected with MPS, a progressive and incurable disease that may potentially fatal. https://www.mpssociety.ca/

We decided to do a drive-by to show the family some community support.

Around 16 cars did a procession around the family's street with balloons, posters, and people honking their horns. Our chapter provided lunch for the family purchased a cake, gave gift cards for the children, balloons, and some gifts to pamper the mom.

Rashmina and Rabeah collected funds and put together this event within a few days

It was a wonderful opportunity for our members to bring some cheer to a lovely family that has been isolated due to the pandemic and lockdown measures.
