Eid Mubarak from CCMW!
Ramadan provides us with an opportunity to continue in our efforts and commitment to helping the less fortunate. As we come to the close of the Holy Month, it is important that we remember our fellow Muslims in places where events like Eid seem as much a test of the people’s resilience and strength as a time of joy and celebration.
Millions of Muslims around the world experience terrible violence and hatred on a daily basis. From Islamophobia and systemic racism to restrictive policies and harmful speech targeting their religious belief to assaults, ethnic cleansing and genocide campaigns.
Our thoughts and prayers are with our Uighur, Rohingya and Kashmiri brothers and sisters, with communities in Palestine, Afghanistan, India, Yemen and Sri Lanka, and with the millions of families around the world facing hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We stand in solidarity with them and wish them a truly blessed Eid.
Let us strive to come together to pursue justice for our fellow Muslims in need and to help them through sharing from our wealth. Let us unite in remembering them and one another in our prayers and duas this Eid.
May the blessings we received this Ramadan be with us in this world and the Hereafter.
Eid Mubarak to you all!
