Engaging Muslim Women Issues and Needs
This report deals with challenges facing Muslim women in the process of integration and identifies needs in order to help in planning and designing programs.
Integration has many facets. The focus here is on three aspects: political participation, economic integration and social engagement.
It is based on the findings of the Muslim Women’s Needs Survey – first of its kind in North America and Europe – conducted in the fall of 2005, and supplemented by focus group discussions held in cities across the country. It also incorporates insights obtained from the previous CCMW (Canadian Council of Muslim Women) studies.
