Muntaha Malik: 2021

Asalamu alaykum everyone! My name is Muntaha Malik and I study psychology, international development studies, and women studies in my fourth undergraduate year at the University of Toronto.

I appreciate taking leadership in organizations to campaign for justice, women, and assisting the community. As former Vice President Events at UofT Scarborough's Muslim Student Association, we hosted an event to call upon Canadians to stand up for the Uyghur Muslim community.

In my spare time, I love performing spoken word poetry and use it as a tool to navigate personal healing from trauma and encouraging survivors to do the same. I am very pleasured to be given the Lila Fahlman Scholarship from CCMW and look forward to all that life awaits me through a lens of justice and assisting others.
