Adopt a Senior program

CCMW Durham Region was pleased to be able to donate gifts of clothing, art supplies, and personal care items for the  Adopt a Senior to Schlegel Village Nursing home in Whitby, ON ON https://schlegelvillages.com/taunton-mills-whitby.  Islam believes in honouring our elderly, especially our parents.  Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) taught caring for the elderly irrespective of sex, color, or religion, and he himself set a great example in practicing the principles he taught. 

Thank you to Farah Sadiq for coordinating our efforts by picking up donations from our members and purchasing items with donated funds. Thank you to our members who helped make Christmas brighter for our respected elders.
