Pickering Library

Pickering Library hosted a two-hour online workshop on Islamophobia and cyberbullying presented by Natalia and Kubra. Pickering Resident and member of CCMW Durham, Ruby shared her struggles as a new immigrant and her journey to wearing hijab.

We are very thankful to the town of Pickering for their support. Mayor Dave Ryan brought greetings from Pickering Council and City Councillor Shaheen Butt spoke about his work in the community.

Over 50 people attended the workshop and we received good feedback from the attendees. Thank you to Firdaus for her coordination efforts and  Iman for her excellent technical support in running the online event.
